Erin D. Garcia (b. 1979, Jackson, Mississippi) is an American artist living and working in Nara, Japan. After more than two decades in Los Angeles, Garcia relocated to Japan in 2026.

Before painting, Garcia spent years immersed in music, fascinated by the moment when bass frequencies at high volume stop being something you hear and become something you feel. That understanding of rhythm, repetition, and physical experience continues to shape his work, where structure and improvisation exist in constant dialogue.

Garcia's work is driven less by subject than by the movement of ideas. A line, a color relationship, or a gesture discovered in one body of work may reappear years later in another. As ideas migrate between drawings, paintings, and murals, they accumulate into an evolving visual language. The subject changes; the investigation remains the same.

Garcia has created murals and large-scale commissions throughout the United States and internationally, including projects for Louis Vuitton, Nike, The Standard Hotel, and Moog. His work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Berlin, Hong Kong, and London.
